My name is Michael and I'm mostly known online as Retro Mike, Retro Mike Tech, and RMT. I'm an avid at home cryptocurrency miner, tech enthusiast, and computer software architect. That has correlated to me running a YouTube channel. As someone who mines cryptocurrency primarily out of an apartment, my channel is mainly focused around educating on cryptocurrency mining and is geared towards the at home miner utilizing lower powered hardware across all forms. I mine with CPU's, GPU's, FPGA's, ASIC's, Phones, Tablets, and Single Board Computers.

I present an unique approach to the mining space as I'm an advocate for mining cryptocurrency with hardware, and then using that mined crypto as a peer-to-peer currency without needing to involve an exchange. I strive to use it as an alternative to the US Dollar without involving traditional financial systems. I often use the crypto that I mine to buy more hardware through vendors that accept crypto as payment (either directly or through services like BitPay). When I buy and/or review hardware, it's not to use it to sell to USD daily, but rather to utilize the hardware to provide blockchain security and earn digital currency in reward for that that I may later on use for real purchases.

In addition to my cryptocurrency YouTube channel, I also have a retro video game collecting channel where I have documented parts of my retro game collecting journey, created buyer's guides, collector's guides, and many tutorials and product reviews including the Polymega, Evercade, and even created your own Sega Genesis game.
